To Our Valued Customers:

The rapid spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the United States since January 2020 has necessitated a range of actions by federal, state, local and tribal authorities to contain the virus and mitigate its effects.

➢ On March 13, 2020, President Donald J. Trump declared a national emergency to support containment and mitigation of COVID-19 and address the significant public health and national and economic security implications.  This declaration engages the full authorities and resources of FEMA for emergency preparedness and response.

➢ Among the measures that state, local and tribal authorities may implement to contain the spread of COVID19 is the establishment of curfews, “shelter-in-place” orders, “containment areas,” “quarantine zones,” or other forms of restrictions on access, activities, and businesses.

The US Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), under the purview of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), issued a press release on March 19, 2020, which defines “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” to help State and local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.

Per DHS guidelines, the Chemical Sector has been classified as Critical Infrastructure under 42 U.S.C. § 5195c(e).  International Refining & Manufacturing (dba IRMCO) provides metal forming products to the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing sector.  Products made by these manufacturing industries are essential to many other critical infrastructure sectors. The Critical Manufacturing Sector focuses on the identification, assessment, prioritization, and protection of nationally significant manufacturing industries within the sector that may be susceptible to manmade and natural disasters.

IRMCO will continue to monitor this situation, safeguarding our employees and larger community while following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance.   As noted previously, we stand ready to help our customers but our collective thoughts and prayers are primarily for a swift resolution to this emergency situation and that all of our extended communities remain safe.
