Stamping Lubricant. Not Stamping OIL.

“Stamping oil” is an archaic term that originated in the industrial revolution and carried-over through three quarters of the 20th century. It’s extremely important to make the distinction as the differences between oil-based and oil-free lubricants can have a enormous impact not only on stamping performance, but everything from welding & finishing through waste treatment and operator safety.

Does your terminology match your technology?

Do you order your lubricant on a rotary dial phone or from your computer?

Are you using a steam-powered press or a servo?

Are you using oil or IRMCO?
